The Beginning
A Nickname, A Dream, A Legacy
BTOPS Landscaping, Inc. is a homegrown Montgomery, Alabama landscaping business. It was founded by James "Bobby" Bennett — whom his friends and family call BTOP or Bobby Top — a nickname given to him in childhood.
Born and raised in Montgomery, Bobby attended Robert E. Lee High School and Alabama A&M College. After college, he started at an entry-level position with a large local landscaping company, working his way up while learning every aspect of the business — from laborer to management.
On a leap of faith, driven by the belief that hard work pays off, Bobby decided to start his own company. In September 2002, BTOPS Landscaping, Inc. was born.
